The 'A' side then is the non-striped side of the pair, it will be the first input in the can and the 'B' will be the second input. Example, 'A' will go in 7A-45, while 'B' will go into 7A-46. (label truncation) In order to make it practical to label the following scheme is employed on the each label: First line is Riser (floor number followed by pair order). Second line is R#H#S#P#, 'R' is for Rack number, 'H' is for Hub number 'S' is for Slot number and 'P' is for Port number. NOTE: where there is no slot number available a double asterisk will be substituted. Example, R1H4**P25. NOTE: all COMM Closets are set to port 25, and where possible all risers are using #45,46 pair, the exception is the 5B COMM closet. Third line is the IP address sans separation dots. Example: 169.229.35.21 will show on the 3rd line of the label as 1692293521 (cable type) All cables in 288 Soda will be 50 ft SC to ST multimode fiber duplex. All cables in the associated COMM closets will be of the same type but cut to 20 ft. lengths. All cables will bear their test tags near the SC side of the cable. All cables will have source/destination labels at both ends. ========================================================================
