Minimum Windows Hardware Requirements
These are essentially the minimum requirements for running Windows
XP, and booting from removable media. We strongly recommend
more RAM and diskspace in order to run Windows comfortably.
Desktops
- 233Mhz or faster Pentium II/Celeron CPU.
- 64MB or more RAM.
- 14" or larger monitor.
- One or more 2GB or larger internal disk.
- 10/100Mb ethernet device (any manufacturer).
- Keyboard and mouse (any kind).
- Internal CD or DVD drive (any speed).
- Internal floppy drive.
- UC Property tag (as necessitated by cost).
- One registered user per system.
Laptops
- 233Mhz or faster Pentium II/Celeron CPU.

- 12" or larger display.
- One or more 2GB or larger internal disk.
- Bootable CD or DVD drive (any speed).
- 10/100Mb ethernet device (any manufacturer).
- UC Property tag (as necessitated by cost).
